Back from Copenhagen

By Andree Toonk | May 25, 2007

CopenhagenLast week I was in Copenhagen visiting the Terena networking conference 2007. The conference was a success. My colleague successfully presented our work , we presented our poster, saw some interesting presentations and spoke to our international colleagues. Some of you will probably like the presentation I saw during the closing plenary. A guy from Google gave a presentation about The Google File System, it was very interesting to learn about that.

We had a busy schedule, but luckily with some interesting and fun things. On Monday for example we were invited by the Mayor of the City of Copenhagen for a diner in the beautiful City Hall in the centre of Copenhagen. On Tuesday we were invited by our colleagues of Nordunet for the official opening of the new Nordunet network, it was here were I met a real dinosaur :) On Wednesday we had a Gala evening with great food, whine and a magnificent view over the port of Copenhagen. All together it was a useful and interesting week, some photos can be found here http://www.toonk.nl/~andree/photo-index.php?album=2007-05-24-Copenhagen/
